Discover the Pays d'auge

The Pays d'Auge, located to the east of Calvados, is a beautiful area of Normandy. This part of the region consists of apple orchards, stud farms, and half-timbered houses.

The first stop on this short tour will be the beautiful village of Beuvron en Auge; considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in France. Once you see the incredible buildings, you will understand why. We will stop here for around 30 minutes so you can walk around and visit some of the wonderful little shops and bars.

The next stop on the tour will be Château du Breuil. As we drive from Beuvron en Auge, you will marvel at the delightful countryside. We will also pass many stud farms which are typical in this area.

We will arrive at Château du Breuil at around 11:15 and you will have one hour to experience how Calvados, the famous apple alcohol is produced. A guided tour of the distillery will explain the process from apple picking right through to the aging process and to the final sale. At the end of the guided tour, you will be then given a tasting session of many of the different types of Calvados and other drinks produced in this distillery.
