Experience the main highlights of the British Gold Beach & Juno Beach sectors of the Normandy D-Day landings. This morning tour is a perfect way to see some of the sites that the British and Canadian forces had to overcome on D-Day including, the impressive German gun battery at Longues Sur Mer.

    We like to run on time and if you are not at the departure point by the advertised departure time, we will depart. There will be others on board that have arrived on-time and we do not want to impact their experience. If you do arrive late, you will need to take a cab at your own expense to catch up with the tour. We strongly advise you to arrive early for the tour as no refunds will be considered if you miss the service.

  • Longues Sur MerGerman Gun Battery
    40 minute visit - Guided tour and free time

    This impressive gun battery position is the only position along the Atlantik Wall in this area of France that still has the guns in situ. We will explore the site together and you will learn about how it was built, how it operated and ultimately, how it was silenced.

  • AsnellesGold Beach
    30 minute visit - Guided tour and free time

    Gold beach was assaulted by British forces on D-Day. Their objectives were to move west and capture Arromanches and link up with American forces landing at Omaha. Move eastwards to link up with forces landing at Juno Beach and to move inland and capture the medieval town of Bayeux.

  • Artificial PortMulberry Harbour B

    Arromanches was chosen as the location for Mulberry B Artifical Harbour; better known as port Winston after Churchill. We will show the impressive remnants of this amazing construction project and explain how significant this was in defeating the Germans in Normandy.

  • Courseulles-sur-MerJuno Beach
    1 hour visit - Guided tour and free time

    We will stop at Courseulles-sur-Mer, the location which was the landing point for Canadian's on D-Day. The guide will show you the key locations and explain how Canadian forces overcame the strong German positions. You will then have some free time to explore and take photos.

  • Courseulles-sur-MerJuno Beach Centre Museum
    Optional visit - Not included in the price of the tour

    The impressive Juno Beach Centre is a great resource to learn more about Canada's involvement in the Normandy Campaign. If you prefer to utlise the time we have here, you can visit the museum. Admission is not included in the price of this tour. Please note that if you do wish to visit the museum, you will not be able to have the tour offered by our guide.

  • Bény-sur-MerCanadian War Cemetery
    25 minute visit - Guided tour and free time

    For the last stop in the morning section of this tour, we will stop and show you the Canadian War Cemetery located in Bény-sur-Mer.

  • End of the tourBayeux

    We will finish the tour at the same location as we started. However, if you wish to be dropped off at the train station, please notify the guide. Please note that we do not drop off at hotels.
